This site was designed to allow clients and their families access to their wedding and portrait images. You may purchase prints on this site or download them for free as per our agreement. But remember, even a low resolution image can look great on a screen. But to print it, you'll want large hi-res image files. So to download your photos at full resolution do the following: Click on the image you wish to download so that it appears in the larger image to the right of your gallery. Then place your curser over the larger image and a flyout will appear to the right. Be sure to choose "original" in order to maintain a printable resolution. At this point, a very large image should appear on your screen. This is normal. Right click on this large image and choose "Save as" from the pop up screen. Choose a folder in your computer and click ok. You should be able to see the resolution of your photo once it is downloaded. For instance if your image is in a folder and you click on the image file, you should see a copy of the image as well as the metadata associated with that image. It should show a 3.5 to 4.5 meg image. Your photo was likely shot at around 21 meg then processed down to 3.5 to 7 meg jpg. If your image appears as an image measured in kb rather than megs, the image will be suitable for computers and emailing, but not for printing.
Galleries that appear to have a lock on them are private. Generally this occurs when the clients are under 18 or I have received a request to keep their gallery private.
To Photoshop users please keep two things in mind. First, although professional photographers prefer working with tiff format due to its loss-less capabilities, the above photos appear in jpg because that is the universally accepted format. Jpegs can be worked quite nicely if they aren't overly manipulated and endure numerous "saves". It's estimated is that once a jpeg has been saved 7 times it has become useless. If you have a concern for a particular photo and would like to receive it as a tiff or png let me know and I can email you that photo in another format. The second thing to remember is to adjust the "image size" in Photoshop. I find that Photoshop applications are typically set to save the photo at a "72" dpi resolution. This is not a printable resolution although it looks great on the screen. Go to "Image Size" and adjust the resolution to "300" and adjust "pixels" to "percent" and set it at "100". The actual size of your image will appear in the same popup for image sizing.
